Marshall Dorfman of West Hartford, Connecticut, almost didn’t buy a ticket for the state’s Lucky 4 Life drawing on January 19.

The weather forecast predicted heavy snow, and the self-employed landscaper, who snow plows in the off-season, needed to get ready for a night of work.

Fortunately, Dorfman changed his mind after hooking up his plow, and bought a Lucky-4-Life ticket, which contained numbers from family birthdays and his wedding anniversary.

That ticket turned out to be the single top prize winning ticket sold for the evening, and was worth $2,000 a week for LIFE. As Connecticut’s first Lucky-4-Life millionaireof the New Year, Dorfman is guaranteed

to receive prize money every week for the rest of his life.
