OH Canada! Winners of Lotto Max and Canadian Scratchers Tell Their Stories

News from Ontario. Good news, actually for two big winners.
First, an Athens couple claimed a half-million dollar (in Canadian dollars, of course) Lotto Max prize this past week and a Toledo waitress scratched out a $75,000 prize from a Snakes and Ladders game in two recently announced prizewinners from Ontario Lottery and Gaming.
Cody Hodges and Tara Galloway earned a half-share of a $1- million prize in the June 18 Lotto Max draw with another prize winner from British Columbia.
Sherry Coughlin- Henley won $75,000 from a scratch ticket purchased at Mac’s Convenience Store in Smiths Falls.
The 37-year-old waitress and mother of two told OLG she couldn’t believe she had a winning ticket.
“I had to check it three times. I was very excited,” she said.
“This will allow me to put a downpayment on a house for myself and my children.”
Hodges told the OLG it took some time to come to grips with the size of the prize, which came from the additional Maxmillions prizes available at the time.
“I was stunned. I think the clerk at the store was more excited about the win than I was because I hadn’t quite processed it yet.”
Congratulations to all. I LOVE hearing stuff like this. Don’t you?
Gives us all hopes that WE will be NEXT.
