Whole Lotto Love: Jackpot Winners Want to Buy Mansion Once Owned by Led Zeppelin’s Robert Plant
Talk about fan envy.
Welsh Lottery winners, Les and Samantha Scadding, have expressed interest in buying The Argoed, a Grade 11 listed mansion at Penallt, once the home of Led Zeppelin star, Robert Plant.
The property, which stands in 11 acres, has been on the market with Knight Frank for three months, and is described as one of most important country houses to come on to the Monmouthshire Market, in the UK, for many years.
Les and Samantha, who currently live in Newport, won a record £45,570,835.50 with a EuroMillions lucky dip.
Samantha is a former pupil of Haberdashers Monmouth School for Girls, while husband Les is a self confessed Led Zeppelin fan.
If they move into the magnificent home in Penallt, it truly will be a case of the group’s classic “Stairway to Heaven” coming true.
