Woodstock, New York, Not Just for Musicians; Lottery Winner Hits for $3 Million
I usually write all of my lottery posts, but this one…I loved. It is from the Kingston Freeman, a newspaper where I was an editor for more than a year.

Powerball Jackpot Soars to $170 Million; no Big Winners on Sept. 26, but Many Tickets Win $200,000
No one snared the big prize in the Sept.26 Powerball game, so the jackpot rises to $170 million on Sept. 30.
The winning Sept. 26 numbers are 18,20,34,36,39 and the Power ball is 19.
15 tickets matched 5 of 6, missing only the Power ball. Except where mentioned, the tickets are each worth $200,000.

Whew! Virginia Lottery Winner Claims $250,000 Eight Hours Before Deadline
For the life of me, I can’t figure out how this happens. But, it does.
More often then you might think.
For nearly six months, Lydia Burke of Mechanicsville, Virginia, had a Mega Millions ticket worth $250,000 and she didn’t know it.
The ticket sat in a napkin holder in her kitchen.

Lotto Max Canada to Launch on Sept. 25
There will be a new lotto game in Canada beginning Sept. 25.

Powerball Jackpot Worth $111 Million on Saturday; Mega Millions Rises to $62 Million; European Winner Hits 90 Million Euro Jackpot
Someone in Europe is very rich today.
There was a jackpot winner in the Sept. 18 Euro Millions game that carried a jackpot of 90.7 million euros, or about $134 million, U.S.
