Lottery Winner Rubs “Aladdin’s Lamp,” Wins $40,000

This lottery winner is one happy camper.
A Rome, Georgia resident’s wish came true with the scratch of “Aladdin’s Lamp” a scratch game. Larry Ball, 49, played and won $40,000.
Ball was in the retail store with his wife, Jackie, when he scratched his lucky ticket.
“I was excited,” he said. “She was just totally hysterical about it also.”
Ball, who works in the retail industry, has five grown children and two grandchildren.
“I plan on buying a new pair of glasses and paying a bill or two,” he said.
Ball also hopes to use some of his winnings for travel. “We may take an extra vacation this year,” he shared. “I’d like to go to Gulf Shores, Ala. They have a nice beach area and a state park for camping.”
GAMES I PLAY:
The August 5 Powerball game offers up a $138 million jackpot.
The August 7 Mega Millions game jackpot now tops out at $102 million. There were no big winners on Aug. 4. The winning numbers are 1,28,34,42,50 and Mega Ball 27.
The August 7 Euro Millions jackpot is 38 million euros.
