California Couple’s Best Anniversary Present Ever: A $47 Million SuperLotto Win
Jeff and Sandy Carl, of Visalia, California had a big surprise waiting for them when they returned from Monterey, where they had spent a weekend celebrating their 23rd wedding anniversary.
They were now millionaires.
They didn’t find out until they returned home and checked out the winning numbers for a recent SuperLotto Plus game.
“I was in the supermarket when I noticed the newspaper,” Jeff said. “The story read that a winning ticket was bought in Goshen.
“I read the first four numbers, knew they were mine and left the store quickly.”
Once he returned home, he was able to confirm that his ticket contained all five numbers plus the Mega number.
He even had his son double check the numbers.
The Carls said they planned on putting money aside in a college fund for their son. They also plan on buying real estate.
These days in California, they’ll have a lot of real estate from which to choose.
It was certainly, a most amazing anniversary gift.
