Going Platinum! Minnesota Scratch-Game Player Hits for $100,000; Powerball on the Rise to $77 Million
Raymond Rybakowski of Middle River, Minnesota, won $100,000 by playing the state’s “Platinum Payout” scratch game.
Rybakowski was at Farmers Union Oil Co., located on E. State St. in Grygla, Minnesota on April 20 and decided to purchase some “Platinum Payout” tickets.
The first ticket was not a winner, but when he started to play the second ticket, he quickly realized that it was a winner. As he usually does, Rybakowski scratched the prize amount from right to left.
When he saw the first “zero,” he thought he won $10. Then he uncovered a second zero and “then the third zero and I thought, ‘Wow!’ The zeros kept coming,” he recalled.
Once Rybakowski realized that he won $100,000, he called his wife, Cynthia. “When I told her, she said, ‘Yeah, right,’ about three times and I said, ‘No, really!’”
Yes. Really.
Congratulations Rybakowski family.

There was no jackpot winner in the April 29 Powerball game so the big prize rolls to $77 million.
The winning numbers are 6,19,36,50,59 and the Power ball is 13.
The Power Play multiplier is 5.
5 tickets hit 5 of 5, but not the Power ball. Those tickets were bought in Connecticut ($200,000), Florida ($200,000), Louisiana ($1 million, because the ticket holder Power Played their bet), Minnesota ($200,000) and South Carolina ($200,000).
The next game (with a $77 million jackpot) is May 2.
The Mega Millions jackpot on May 1 is a HUGE $220 million.
