Winning the lottery is just the beginning

Jackpots Rising to the Stratosphere: Both Mega Millions and Powerball Top Prizes More than $170 Million

It’s a rare thing when both of America’s multi-state games top the $170 million mark at the SAME TIME.

But that’s exactly what is happening now, as Lotto fever hits the states.

Particularly with the current recession, these two concurrent runs are likely to draw record numbers of buyers. As even those people who normally don’t play the lottery take a chance on winning these mega jackpots.

There was no winner in the Feb. 25 Powerball game, so the jackpot rises to $173 million on Saturday, Feb. 28.

The winning numbers for Feb. 25 are 17,32,42,49 56 and the Power ball is 11. The Power Play multiplier is 4.

8 tickets matched the first five numbers but not the Power ball. Those tickets are each worth $200,000. They were bought in Arizona, Florida, Kentucky, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania (2 winning tickets) and Tennessee.

35 tickets matched 4 of 5 and the Power ball. Each of those tickets is worth $10,000.

6 tickets matched 4 of 5 and the Power ball and they Power Played their bet. Those tickets are each worth $40,000.

Congratulations, winners.

GAMES WE PLAY:
The Friday, Feb. 27, Mega Millions game has a $171 million jackpot.
The Friday Euro Millions jackpot is a hefty 41 million Euros, or $53.9 million U.S.

Good luck everyone.
