Georgia Plumber Ties-Up $1 Million ‘Instant’ Win
I love stories like this, about young couples winning big money.
A Lawrenceville, Georgia plumber has plugged up his bank account with $1 million in lottery winnings.
Matthew Stewart, 28, won a $1 million top prize playing the Georgia Lottery’s Cash Explosion instant game.
Stewart was on his way to work when he purchased the ticket at Marathon, on Buford Drive in Lawrenceville, and scratched it in his car.
“I didn’t believe it,” he said. “I called my wife, and she hung up on me.”
Stewart’s wife, Lin, currently is a lottery-funded HOPE Scholarship recipient attending Georgia State University.
The couple plan to purchase a new house and a new car from their winnings.
“It’s a great way to start out 2009,” Stewart exclaimed.
