82-Year Old Two-Time Winner Hits $122,073 Lottery Prize in Georgia
So many of the winners I’ve spoken to over the years say, “Well, my persistence finally paid off.”
This is particularly pleasing when I see a senior citizen win a big prize. Latest to hit my desk comes from Georgia.
C.L. Russell, who will celebrate his 82nd birthday on Oct. 23, matched all five winning numbers in the state’s Oct. 3 Fantasy 5 drawing and won a $122,073 prize.
“I consider this my early birthday gift,” he told Lottery officials.
Winning numbers from the drawing were: 3-6-11-25-28.
Russell called the Georgia Lottery’s Player Information Hot Line and discovered his lottery win. “I got really happy,” he said, in a classic understatement.
Now, here is the twist: Russell is no stranger to winning the lottery. He won $258,534 playing the same game Fantasy 5 in 2007.
He plans to buy a truck with his recent lottery win.
Now, it’s Your turn to be “In the Money”:
Friday night’s Mega Millions game is worth $32 million.
Saturday night’s Powerball jackpot is $32 million.
Good luck.
As usual, we’ll run some charts over the weekend. And don’t forget to get your Saturday Powerball Alert first thing in the morning.
